What do the Live Teller Machines do?
These machines have all the functionality of an ATM but with so much more. You are able to:
- Deposit checks
- Deposit or withdraw cash
- Make a loan payment
- Check your account balances
What sets them apart is the video chat feature, which allows you to get any questions answered right away by one of our Premier Credit Union staff members. It’s just like doing a transaction inside any of our branch offices. With machines also in the drive-ups at certain branches, you will no longer need to leave your car, making the process faster and more efficient! The machines also add an additional level of accuracy and security, meaning your financials will always be safe at Premier Credit Union!
Where can I use the New Live Teller Machines?
You will find these machines inside the Urbandale and downtown Des Moines, Iowa branch offices, as well as in the drive-ups of both. We are looking to install them at our other branch locations in West Des Moines and Ames, Iowa in the near future as well! When using the machines during normal business hours, you won’t even need your debit card to access them. Simply have your ID or member number handy, and the staff member on the other side of the screen will be able to verify you from there. The machines will function as a full-service ATM when they are used any time outside of normal business hours.
Will Premier Credit Union staff be replaced by Live Teller Machines?
It’s the exact opposite actually! The staff you speak to are a part of our Live Teller department. By helping on these machines, our current staff are furthering their careers with more training in other parts of the credit union. In this way, the machines are facilitating the growth of our team here! They also allow for remote access work, allowing the machines to be operational even when our branch lobbies need to be closed down. Premier is truly growing, and we’re not slowing down! You may have even encountered the familiar faces behind the screens. Most of our Live Tellers started out as a front-line teller, serving our members in each of our branch offices.
